The Washington County Board of Supervisors held a discussion on the application form for individuals seeking positions on various boards and commissions at the Tuesday meeting. Department heads weighed in on the conversation as well. Washington County Public Health Administrator Emily Tokheim weighed in, “I’ve seen other counties that have something similar. I know in the past in the last year when we kind of went through this process with some board members we asked similar questions. I think what’s important is that this is just one piece of the process when looking for board members. That its important that the department heads are involved, they see these, they have an opportunity to talk to you if they would like with people that are interested. Because they’re going to know collectively the feedback, just as important as knowing their background.” The Board asked for some revisions to be made to the document and for it to be brought to a future meeting for approval.
