The Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) held its Annual Convention earlier this month. The event included an awards ceremony, during which two Washington school board members were recognized. The award went to Mindi Rees and Michael Liska. The Individual Achievement Award was presented to 218 board members from 92 different boards. Recipients of the award completed at least 15 hours of professional learning in one year. IASB is a non-profit organization representing Iowa’s 325 school districts, nine area education agencies, and 15 community colleges.
