Former Louisa County Conservation (LCC) Executive Director, Katie Hammond, accepted a Director role with Muscatine County Conservation earlier this fall. Hammond had served as a Naturalist and Director of LCC since 1999.

Since this transition, LCC has been in the process of finding a replacement and have already completed one round of interviews. The hope is to name the new Director of LCC in the coming weeks.

Following Hammond’s Departure, the Tri-Rivers Conservation Foundation and LCC are paying tribute to the long-time Director through the Katie Hammond Environmental Education Fund. Any donations to the fund will allow youth with financial barriers to attend Louisa County Conservation summer camp activities.
