U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley recently pressed the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives for answers after a whistleblower disclosed criminal misconduct, here are his thoughts on the findings, “We have not gotten any response, and I don’t know how long ago I sent that letter. It’s very difficult to get the bureaucracy to cooperate with you particularly when you are asking questions that if they answered them honestly, it would embarrass them. And that’s why a lot of times we don’t get answers. It was about a month ago, and we will keep on top of it.” Grassley led prior oversight efforts to hold the Obama administration’s ATF responsible for its Operation Fast and Furious, an ATF program in which agents allowed guns to be trafficked into Mexico.
