Three KCII area boys wrestling teams racked up points and titles at Saturday’s annual Jeremy Fulk Classic at Lorber Gym in New London. The Mid-Prairie boys finished as team runners-up with their 159 point total. Cedar Rapids Washington won the tourney with 177.5. The Hawks had two champs on the day with Trevyn Riley winning gold at 106lbs, beating Lone Tree’s Cole Walmsley by fall in the title match and Burke Berry taking the title at 285 following a 2-1 day. Runners-up included Dalton Miller at 126, Peyton Fox at 144, Brock Fisher at 215 and Quinn Callahan at 285. Parker English at 113, Blake Malichky at 120, Max Howe at 132, Tucker Miller at 138, Will Snider at 150, and Jarron Thomas at 190 all were third.
The WACO Warriors were third as a team with their 123.5 points. The Warriors crowned two champions on the day with John McLaughlin winning gold at 126lbs by 18-3 tech fall over Dalton Miller of Mid-Prairie and Louden Huisenga claiming 190lb gold with an 11-3 major decision win over Wyatt Young of Cedar Rapids Washington. Finishing second were Gage Samo at 120, Cylas Elder at 157 and Kale Warren at 165. Tommy Unternahrer was third at 215lbs.
Lone Tree was sixth with 35 points. Cole Walmsley at 106lbs and Brock Nebergall at 113 both finished as runners-up to lead the way for the Lions.
