This time of year, area students get into the holiday spirit with their school winter concerts, and Keota Community School District kicks things off with their performances Wednesday and Thursday.
Keota Elementary is up first with their concert at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6. Pre-K through sixth-grade students will perform some of your holiday favorites like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bell Rock, and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. The production features vocal and instrumental performances, under the direction of Jane Edwards and Julie Hill.
Then on Thursday, December 7, Keota Junior/Senior High School students have their time to shine. The concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. begins with EagleRock! performing their show choir selection with soloists Luke Moeller, Dakota Dodd, Landyn Greiner, Grace Conger, Ava Greiner, Kate Elam, and Noah Fisher.
EagleRock! is followed by the junior high choir, high school band, high school choir, and junior high band. The evening wraps up with a song from the junior and senior high school choirs combined. Both winter concerts will be held in the Keota High School Gymnasium.
