Last week, the Henry County Engineer’s Office announced a project on Franklin Avenue (W-55). The stretch of roadway is located just southwest of Mount Pleasant, and construction could affect traffic on W-55 between 260th Street and 275th Street. 

The project includes culvert work and tree clearing along both sides of the road in preparation for a future resurface project. Tree clearing began on Monday, and will continue through the winter, weather permitting. While Franklin Avenue will not be closed, motorists should anticipate the potential for lane closures with flaggers. Expect delays, use caution, and be conscious of roadside workers.
