Winfield residents are encouraged to participate in a Holiday Yard Decorating Contest, put on by the Winfield Community Development Group (WCDG). 

Judging will take place at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 16. Houses will be judged based on lights and decorations, special effects, overall appearance, and creativity as viewed from the street only.

To get your house registered for the WCDG Holiday Yard Decorating Contest, call City Hall at 319-257-6661 or email Lisa at Winfield2@farmtel.net. The registration deadline is 5 p.m. on December 14, and there is no charge to enter.
