A hazard mitigation meeting in Johnson County, originally planned for last Monday, has been rescheduled for next week.

The Johnson County Emergency Management Agency, along with Two Rivers Emergency Management is working to revise and update its hazard mitigation plan and is seeking community input. They will now be holding a kick-off meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 11.

This plan will assess natural hazards’ risks and vulnerabilities to each community in the county, and provide recommendations to increase their resiliency. In doing so, these actions aim to protect property and those who live, work, and conduct business in Johnson County and its communities.
