The Washington City Council approved a mayoral appointment at their Tuesday meeting. Mayor Pro-Tem Millie Youngquist recommended Leslie Allender for the Hotel/Motel Tax Committee. The Council approved the appointment unanimously. Allender’s term is for three years and will end in June of 2026. The Hotel/Motel Tax Fund Administration Committee advises the City Council on the most efficient and effective uses of revenue derived from the hotel/motel tax, including conducting long-term planning, visioning and development of written plans.
