The City of Washington came to an agreement with the Washington Hotel Group, LLC at their Tuesday meeting. Bethany Glinsman and City Administrator Deanna McCusker shared their thoughts on the agreement, “I think the question is still if we are doing one hundred percent, or if we are doing one hundred and fifty thousand. The memo says that we will have twenty-thousand leftover and that can’t happen if we are doing one hundred percent, so, let’s discuss that part. I just did some calculations today and I would recommend that we do, if we do the one point five and that ends up passing, I would recommend that we do the one hundred and fifty thousand annually instead of one hundred percent tax rebate. Because the City will end up with more money at the end of ten years doing it that way.” The Council unanimously approved the amended agreement with Washington Hotel Group, LLC.
