A pair of Southeast Iowa Super Conference teams took part in wrestling duals Thursday night. The WACO Warriors were able to win three of their duals at Pekin, only losing 58-24 to Mediapolis but otherwise defeating Louisa-Muscatine 57-21; beating Van Buren County 54-24; and knocking off the host Pekin 75-6.

WACO had three different wrestlers win each of their three bouts by pin, including junior Gage Samo at 120 pounds; freshman Kale Warren at 157; and senior John Stauffer at 285. Senior John McLaughlin won three matches, pinning a pair of opponents before claiming a 5-0 decision.

Junior Louden Huisenga had a pair of victories by pin at 190 lbs, while junior Kaden Leichty won an 11-9 decision at 132 and freshman Brawk Sterna picked up a pin at 175 for the Warriors, who are wrestling this weekend at the Tri-County/English Valleys Invitational.

Lone Tree dropped both of its road duals Thursday, falling 36-18 to New London before losing 54-18 to host Wapello. There were no individual head-to-head victories for the Lions, which are also wrestling at Tri-County this weekend.
