The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls wrestling team is back on the mat today for a River Valley Conference quadrangular against Camanche, Maquoketa and Anamosa. The Hawks have a 2-2 dual record on the season, after wrestling the BGM dual tournament earlier this year and posting wins over Colfax-Mingo and Nevada, before falling to Gilbert and Marshalltown. Mid-Prairie was last in action this weekend at Vinton-Shellsburg where they placed 11th of 17 teams with 88 points, led by Ellie Brenneman runner-up at 140lbs. Brenneman has the team lead this year with 17 wins against six losses. Other Golden Hawks with double digit wins include Austyn Sexton, Ashlee Farrier, Mardie Berry, Ellie Callahan and Sam Stacey.
Camanche is 0-2 in duals this year, dropping two decisions to Cascade and Northeast last Monday. Izabelle Peters is their wins leader with a 14-4 record at 145lbs.
Maquoketa is 2-1 in duals this season, scoring wins over Durant and West Branch falling to Wilton. Renee Cook leads the Cardinals with a 12-3 record in the 170lb slot.
The home Blue Raiders are 6-8 in duals this year, winning two of three at their home dual meet a week ago with victories over Tipton and Bellevue and a loss to West Liberty. Addison Appelhans at 135lbs and Isabella Taylor at 170lbs share the team lead with 15 wins each.
Action starts tonight at 5:30p.m. at Anamosa High School.
