The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls wrestling team traveled to Anamosa Monday for a River Valley Conference quad with Camanche, Maquoketa and the home Blue Raiders. The Hawks beat the Storm 60-12. Becca Westfall scored a pin at 110lbs.

The Hawks took down the Cardinals 60-16 behind contested match wins from Austyn Sexton at 115lbs by fall, Ashlee Farrier at 130 by fall, and Ellie Brenneman at 140 by fall.

The Golden Hawks were just edged out by Anamosa 42-36. Mid-Prairie had wins in contested matches from Austyn Sexton at 115lbs by fall, Mardie Berry at 155 by fall, and Ellie Callahan at 170lbs by fall.

The Hawks dual record is 4-3 this season. Their next action is another quad Monday against Anamosa, West Liberty and Wilton.
