The City of Lone Tree recently announced the vacancy of a council seat, previously held by Ryan Ronan. The office of the council seat will be officially vacant as of January 1, prompting the City to seek a new member.

The Council has made the decision to fill the vacancy by appointment. Any persons wanting to be considered are asked to submit a request in writing to Lone Tree City Clerk Stephanie Dautremont by 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20.

Electors of the City are also reminded that they have the right to file a petition requiring that the vacancy be filled by a special election. To do this, a valid petition must be filed with the City Clerk within 14 days after publication of notice, which was December 5, or within 14 days after appointments are made.

This council seat would expire on December 31, 2025. The Council intends to make the appointment during its regular session on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
