A pair of area girls wrestling teams traveled north for tournament action Saturday. Seventeen teams stepped on the mat at Vinton-Shellsburg. Mid-Prairie had the highest team finish of any area school, placing 11th with 88 points. Bettendorf won the meet with 206 points. Top finish for the Hawks came from Ellie Brenneman in second at 140lbs. Ashlee Farrier finished third for the Hawks.

The WACO Warriors were 13th in the team standings with 42 points. Elyssa Graber at 105lbs led the way for WACO in third place.
