The Hillcrest Academy Ravens take a road trip to Wapello tonight for a Southeast Iowa Superconference basketball doubleheader with the Indians and Arrows. The Raven boys are 6-2 this year, after a 59-38 Alumni Night loss in Kalona Friday to the WACO Warriors, despite 12 points from Mason Bender. This year, the Ravens score 55 points per game and give up 46, shooting 44% from the floor, 32% from three and 59% at the line with 27 boards, 17 assists, 10 steals and 11 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include, Seth Ours at 17 points per game, Rowan Miller with six assists and three steals per night and Mason Bender at six boards per game.

Wapello is 2-5 this year. The Indians got by Highland on Friday 38-30, thanks to 17 points from Jackson Lanz and 16 points from Carson Belzer. This year, Wapello scores 36 points per game and gives up 53, shooting 28% from the floor, 20% from three and 61% at the line with 33 boards, four assists, eight steals and 20 turnovers per game. Lanz leads the way with 20 points, 13 boards, two assists and two steals per night. The Ravens have won four straight in the series including 63-38 and 59-46 victories a season ago.

The Hillcrest girls are 2-7 this year. They were stopped by WACO in Kalona Friday 44-38, their fifth straight loss, despite 13 points from Malia Yoder and 10 from Claire Withrow. This year, the Ravens score 38 points per game and give up 43, shooting 27% from the field, 26% from three and 51% at the line with 34 rebounds, nine assists, 12 steals and 21 turnovers per night. Individual leaders include, Withrow at 15 points per game, Malia Yoder with four steals and three assists per night and Delaney Shaw with 10 boards per game.

Wapello is 4-4 this season. They were beaten by Highland Friday 37-28 with Tatum Wolford scoring 10 points. On the year, the Arrows score 42 as a team per game and give up 39, shooting 30% from the floor, 24% from three and 49% at the line with 34 rebounds, nine assists, 13 steals and 19 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include, Wolford with 17 points and seven rebounds per game and Jacie Hoeg with four assists and four steals per night. The Arrows have won 14 straight in the series including 45-27 and 46-13 victories a season ago. Action gets underway tonight at 6p.m. at Wapello High School.
