The Washington County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday, and on the agenda under old business was fiscal year 2025 compensation for both elected and non-elected officials. After some discussion about the compensation board’s recommendations of a four percent increase, Supervisor Stan Stoops made the following motion, “Yeah, I will make the motion of three point five across the board for elected officials.” The motion passed unanimously. The Supervisors decided on a four percent increase for non-elected officials with a unanimous vote.
