As the holiday season is knocking on the door, area residents are reminded that city offices will be closing in observance of Christmas as well as the new year.

Lone Tree City Hall closed for Christmas Wednesday, and will reopen on Tuesday, December 26. Brighton City Offices will close at noon on Friday, December 22 and open back up until noon on Tuesday. City Offices in Kalona and Riverside close on Friday as well, with Riverside reopening on Tuesday, and city staff for Kalona returning on Wednesday, December 27.

Wellman, Winfield, and Columbus Junction City Offices are open for the rest of this week, but will close on Christmas Day. Winfield and Columbus Junction will also be closed on Tuesday.

Looking ahead to the new year, all city offices in the KCII listening area are closed on Monday, January 1, with a majority reopening on Tuesday, January 2. Additional closures include Riverside City Hall on Friday, December 29 and Wellman City Hall on Tuesday, January 2.
