The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk archery teams took aim at Ottumwa’s Tristen Ebelsheiser Memorial Tournament December 16th.
The High School Hawks were runners-up in the 3D contest with a team score of 1565, behind Ottumwa’s 1572. Elijah Statler was third in the boys individual chase with a score of 268 that included seven tens. Other Hawk boys top tens included Johnathan Pickard ninth. Top round for the Golden Hawk girls came from Ava Miller, fifth, with a 267 and 13 tens. The Hawks did not post a high school team bullseye score, but were led individually on the boys side by Statler in fifth with 274 and 12 tens, followed by Pickard in sixth. Averi Janecek was the top individual girl in third with a 277 and 15 tens. Morgyn Nafziger was 10th.
The Middle School Hawks were runners-up in the bullseye team standings with a 3084, behind Evans Middle School at 3199. The top individual performance came from Lael Seale, runner-up in the girls contest with her 281 and 13 tens. Fiona McClellen finished seventh and Mya Brenneman eighth. For the boys it was Gavin Luers fifth with a 272 and 11 tens. Nickolas Kelley was ninth and Easton Gorsch 10th. The Hawks were also team runners-up in 3D with a 1,546, behind Evans with a 1598. Noah Coblentz had the top individual finish, placing runner-up for the boys with a 269 and nine tens. Preston Ford was sixth for the boys. In the girls contest, Fiona McClellen was fourth with a 263 and nine tens. Lael Seale was fifth.
The elementary Hawks were led by Joshua Seale, third in the 3D boys contest with a 251 and eight tens and ninth in the boys bullseye standings with a 238 and nine tens.
