It’s been a busy few months of giving back for the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, as its appropriately-named Giving Back Program was dedicated to veterans last month.

The Casino hosted 279 veterans for a free buffet on Veterans Day, in addition to generating $12,910 for the Iowa Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 2. These funds were raised through the Giving Back Program’s match play fundraiser and will go towards the Chapter’s Van Fund, which helps transport veterans to their VA medical appointments at the Iowa City Hospital and Davenport Clinic. The group also provides food to homeless veterans, supports multiple VA programs, and aids the Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

The Riverside Casino and Golf Resort supports those who have served year-round by working with organizations like the Golf for Injured Veterans Everywhere Foundation and the National Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic.
