During the season of giving, the Community Foundation of Louisa County did just that, as it recently awarded more than $100,000 worth of grants. 

A total of $113,225 was granted to 37 charitable programs or projects in Louisa County. Notable projects include a toddler play area and security at Grandview’s Academy Park, an Automated External Defibrillator for the Louisa County Emergency Management Agency, and a public address LED marquee for Wapello Community Schools. Funding for these grants comes through the Endow Iowa Grant Program. 

The Community Foundation of Louisa County is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine. Its mission is to support the quality of life initiatives in area communities by connecting the people who care with the causes that matter.
