The Hillcrest Academy Raven boys basketball team has flown into Christmas break with a sparkling 8-2 record with the numbers to back it up.
The Ravens are ranked in the top 10 of Class 1A in five different team and individual categories. The Ravens commit just eight fouls per game, seventh fewest among teams in 1A. They average 18 assists per game, 10th most helpers per night in 1A basketball.
Individually, junior Seth Ours has shown off his skills as a sharpshooter from distance, connecting on 54% of his shots from long range, the sixth highest percentage in 1A basketball. His 29 made three point goals is the seventh highest total. Sophomore Rowan Miller is the ninth best facilitator in 1A, dishing out six assists per game.
Hillcrest is back on the court January 2nd when they host state ranked Winfield-Mt. Union.
