At their fall grant reception in November, the Washington County Riverboat Foundation gifted the West Chester Lions Club with a grant in the amount of $2,207.
These funds will go towards a new ice cream maker for the Lions Club, which holds an ice cream social fundraiser every year. It was just one of 26 fall grants awarded by the Riverboat Foundation, totaling more than $2.1 million.
The West Chester Lions Club is dedicated to serving the community through events like the Election Night Supper and their recent Heritage Christmas Gala. One of more than 48,000 clubs nationwide, its mission is to empower volunteers and partners to improve health and well-being, while also supporting those in need through humanitarian services.
