Washington Demons basketball has a number of the top players in the Southeast Conference this season, as evidenced by their place among the statistical leaders in the league entering the second half of the campaign.

Point guard Adalyn Long has been a star for Washington, making the most free throws and scoring the third-most points in the conference while also handing out the fourth-most assists. The sophomore has hit the fourth-most three-point field goals in the league, and Long is also tied with junior teammate Kendall Hinrichsen for fourth in the Southeast Conference with 25 steals each.

On the boys’ side, Demon sophomore Drew Conrad is fourth in the conference in scoring and assists while also hitting the fourth-most free throws and fourth-most total shots in the league. Conrad has hit over 78 percent of his free throws, fourth-best in the league, while junior Roman Roth is second in the conference in steals.

No player in the Southeast Conference has hit more three-pointers than Washington freshman Nic Stone, who has the second-best shooting mark from beyond the arc at 40%. Junior Logan McDole has hit 37.5% of his treys for third-best in the conference, with his 15 total threes fourth most in the league.

Both Washington teams are 2-2 in the Southeast Conference, with the girls at 5-5 overall and the boys at 4-5. Both Demon squads return to the court tomorrow night after the winter break by facing Southeast Conference rival Burlington.
