Sigourney-Keota wrestling came away with just the one dual victory as part of a quadrangular they hosted last night. SK defeated Mount Pleasant 43-30, but they were on the wrong end against Iowa Valley 52-15 and were beaten by North Mahaska 46-27.
There were still plenty of excellent individual performers for Sigourney-Keota. Senior Jake Moore had the only active points against Iowa Valley by winning a 7-2 decision at 165 pounds, while SK got pins to win versus Mount Pleasant from Moore; junior Brady Clark at 138 lbs; sophomore Jacob Libe at 150; junior Ashton Schwab at 157; junior Kaden Kopp at 175; and junior Zach Guffey at 285.
Sophomore Owen Menke won a 12-4 major decision against Mount Pleasant at 190 lbs, while Libe won an 8-4 decision and Moore and Guffey had pins against North Mahaska. SK will be wrestling again this weekend at Ottumwa.
