The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard the annual report and funding request from the Washington County Library Association at their Tuesday meeting.  Library Directors from Washington, Kalona, and Wellman gave an overview of their year and the improvements that each Library has made. Washington Public Library Director Cary Siegfried had this to report, “We also, one of the great things at Washington over the last year, we had a thirty-seven percent increase in circulation and visitors this last year and program attendance. Nice to see that return to our library.”  The funding request that was presented to the board was for $156,750, which would be split between all three county libraries.
