The Hillcrest Academy Raven boys basketball team will step outside of conference play Saturday afternoon when they welcome the West Liberty Comets to Dwight Gingerich Court in Kalona. The Ravens are 9-3 this year, 6-3 in the Southeast Iowa Superconference after a 64-19 win at Columbus Friday where Seth Ours led the way with 22 points, Bryce Bailey added 15 and Mason Bender scored 12. Rowan Miller led the guard court with seven assists and six rebounds. This season the Ravens average 53 points per game and give up 45, shooting 45% from the floor, 34% from three and 60% at the line with 26 boards, 17 assists, 10 steals and 13 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include Ours at 16 points per night, Bender with five boards per game and Miller at five assists and two steals per outing.

West Liberty is 2-6 this year, 1-4 in the River Valley Conference. This is their first game back after Christmas. Their last contest was December 19th, a 59-46 loss at Iowa City Regina. On the year, the Comets average 52 points per game and give up 63, shooting 42% from the floor, 26% from three and 59% at the line with 23 rebounds, nine assists, 10 steals and 15 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include, Jayce McHugh at 20 points and eight boards per game along with Ryker Dengler at three steals and two assists per night. The Ravens beat the Comets a year ago 59-51.
