The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the entire KCII listening area from 6p.m. Monday, January 8th to 6a.m. Wednesday, January 10th. Moderate to heavy snowfall is expected in the watch area beginning Monday evening through late Tuesday night. Total snow accumulations of six to 12 inches are forecast. Wind gusts as high as 40 mph Tuesday night into Wednesday will lead to blowing and drifting snow. Travel during this time could be very difficult.
