The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the entire KCII listening area from 6 p.m. Monday, January 8th to midnight Tuesday, January 9th. Heavy snow is expected, with total accumulations of eight to 13 inches forecast and locally higher amounts possible. Winds gusts as high as 40 mph Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night will lead to considerable blowing and drifting snow. Travel could be difficult.
