Lone Tree girls’ basketball is putting together a strong season, and the Lions have their best players near the top of a number of statistical categories in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference, where they are now tied for first place with Columbus.
Finley Jacque has been one of those stars putting up numbers that are at the top of the Super Conference North. That includes leading the conference in scoring by averaging 18-and-a-half points per game. Jacque’s 84 made field goals is also most in the league, while the sophomore also has the second-most made three-pointers with 35.
Jacque has hoisted up the most three-point attempts in the Super Conference North and the second-most shots total. She also has hit the third-most free throws and shoots the fourth-highest percentage in the conference at the charity stripe. Jacque is also fifth in the league in both assists and steals.
Junior point guard Vivian Zaruba has been an all-around force for Lone Tree, with the second-most steals; third-most blocked shots; and fourth-most assists in the Super Conference North. Sophomore Alyson Ford is second in the conference in blocks and fifth in rebounds for the Lions, who are 8-1 in league play and 12-1 overall so far this season.
