The Highland School Board met in regular session for the first time in the new year on Monday, January 8.

Consent agenda items were approved, followed by the approval of an elementary bleacher removal bid in the amount of zero dollars. The bid went to John D. O’Leary. The District plans to have the new bleachers installed by the spring.

The Board also approved a request for Modified Supplemental Amount and Supplemental Aid for the 2024-25 Dropout Prevention Program in the amount of $157,449. A local match of $52,483 was approved for expenditures necessary to implement the at-risk and dropout prevention program.

The Highland Community School District Board of Education will hold a work session on Monday, January 22, and will meet next for a regular session on Monday, February 12 at 5 p.m.
