The WACO Warriors suffered a girls’ basketball defeat Thursday night at Iowa Valley, 57-35. After trailing 15-8 in the first quarter, WACO’s deficit grew to nine points by halftime. The margin was only 11 points headed into the final period, but Iowa Valley’s 20-9 run to close it out put the game away. The loss drops to the Warriors to 6-6 ahead of their next game Tuesday at Winfield-Mount Union.
