MOPS-Winfield Food Pantry was recently the recipient of a grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation in the amount of $32,700. 

The Food Pantry is currently housed in the Winfield Methodist Church basement, but plans have been in the works since last spring to move to the old Beacon Newspaper building at 107 East Elm Street. Before that can happen, significant work is still needed to be done at the new site. With the funds from WCRF, planned updates include handicap accessibility, food storage, and a new kitchen. 

The goal is to have the new Winfield Food Pantry site ready by this summer. Already eyeing a charitable 2024, the spring grant cycle for the Washington County Riverboat Foundation opens on February 1.
