On Friday, the Iowa City Police Department arrested 56-year-old Clayton Forman of Iowa City. Forman was wanted in Washington County on two warrants, violation of probation of dominion control of a firearm by a felon, a Class D Felony, and violation of probation of harassment in the first degree, an aggravated misdemeanor. On July 27th, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office went to Forman’s Kalona apartment with a warrant for his arrest; when Forman refused to exit his apartment or allow them entry, he then repeatedly threatened the deputies. A long gun-type firearm was observed through a window. The deputies left the residence after trying to negotiate but felt that the threat was valid. Bond was set at $7,000 cash only and a hold was placed with the Johnson County Jail.
