Plenty of student athletes represented Lone Tree High School in fall sports in 2023. That includes 26 Lions who also were stars away from competition, earning all-academic honors from the Southeast Iowa Super Conference in three different sports.

Volleyball netted the most academic all-conference honors for Lone Tree, with the 12 players honored including Hogan Eden, Bailey McGrew, Lilly Mills, Haley Bockelman, Sami Branson, Alex Dautremont, Maddi Floyd, Avery Morarie, Cate Sexton, Rylee Shield, Hayden Yoder and Dalanie Graap.

The Lion football team is represented by Ethan Bockelman, Harry Brenneman, Emmett Burke, Lucas Forbes, Lukas Furhmeister, Dominic Graap, Reece Holbrook, Maddox Jondle, Brody Magruder and Jack Patterson. Lone Tree also gets academic all-conference selections from cross country runners Brock Nebergall, Jazmine Nino and Abby and Vivian Zaruba.
