Conference crowns are on the line today in Anamosa at the first ever girls River Valley Conference championship wrestling meet. The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks have been off since January 5th at the Highland tournament where they finished second as a team, led by an individual title for Ashlee Farrier, her fourth of the season, runner-up finishes for Mardie Berry and Ellie Callahan, and a third place day for Austyn Sexton.

Mid-Prairie has a 6-4 dual record this year. Berry is the team leader with 23 wins. Sexton, Farrier, and Ellie Brenneman, have also had their hands raised at least 20 times this season. That group along with Becca Westfall, Gabby Gingerich, Sophie Miller, Emmerson Moore, Ellie Callahan, Sam Stacey and Addyson Ascher all have winning records. The Golden Hawks will be joined today in Anamosa by Bellevue, Camanche, Cascade, Durant, Maquoketa, Northeast, Tipton, West Branch, West Liberty, Wilton and the home Blue Raiders. Action continues all day Friday at Anamosa High School.
