The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard the semi-annual report from the Washington County Treasurer’s Office at their meeting on Monday. County Treasurer Jeff Garrett gave the report, “This is just kind of a summary of the activity the revenue section, revenues number one through twenty-two would be considered tax collections. Those total almost twenty-seven million for the six-month period. Those were portioned out basically, 42.4% went to schools, the county retained about 31.5%, 17% went to cities, and the remaining went to Community Colleges, townships, etc like that.” The Supervisors approved the report.
