The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls basketball teams are back on the court tonight for a River Valley Conference doubleheader with the Wilton Beavers. The Golden Hawk boys are 6-6 overall this year and 4-3 in the RVC after a 65-43 win at Durant Tuesday, where they were led by Ace Peck’s 17 points. This season, the Hawks score 62 per game and give up 59, shooting 42% from the floor, 33% from three and 67% at the stipe with 31 rebounds, 15 assists, eight steals and 17 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include, Bryce Henry and Ace Peck each at 12 points per game, with Brady Weber at five boards, six assists and three steals per game.

Wilton is 8-5 this year, 4-2 in conference play after an 82-63 win over Prince of Peace on Tuesday where Oaklan Jirak scored 32 points. On the season, the Beavers average 68 points per game and give up 60, shooting 44% from the floor, 31% from downtown and 58% at the line with 34 rebounds, 17 assists, 11 steals and 11 turnovers per game. Individually, Landyn Putman puts up 19 points per game, Bryer Putman has 11 rebounds, Casen Reid six assists and Brigg Oien three steals. The Beavers beat the Hawks in December 71-60 to score their fourth straight win in the series.

The Mid-Prairie girls are 8-6 this year, 5-4 in the RVC after an upset loss at Durant Tuesday 57-51, despite 11 points from Brooklyn Schneider. This season the Golden Hawks average 55 points per game and give up 52, shooting 40% from the field, 29% from deep and 56% at the line with 36 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 steals and 20 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include, Callie Huber at 11 points and nine boards per night, Nora Pennington with four steals and Jovi Evans three assists.

Wilton is 5-8 this year, 2-5 in conference play after a 62-16 win over Prince of Peace Tuesday where Kinsey Drake went for an 18 point, 17 rebound double double. On the year the Beavers go for 41 points per game and give up 48, shooting 30% as a team, 17% from long range and 51% at the line with 34 rebounds, 12 assists, 10 steals and 18 giveaways per game. Drake leads with 12 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals per game. The Hawks rolled on the road against Wilton in December 78-37, marking their third straight win in the series.
