The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys wrestling team competed Saturday at the River Valley Conference Championship meet at Bellevue High School. The Hawks finished in ninth place of 15 teams with 65 points. Wilton won the conference title with 224 points. Top Golden Hawk finish on the day belonged to Burke Berry who placed third at 285lbs with a 2-1 tournament. Berry collected a pair of falls including a pin in 44 seconds in his third place match over Max Barker of Durant. Other podium performances for the Hawks included, Tucker Miller at 138lbs, Jarron Thomas at 175, and Quinn Callahan at 215 all finishing fifth and Josh Turner placing sixth at 165. Mid-Prairie is off until their district tournament February 10th at Solon.
