Join the Washington Public Library this Thursday for a unique noon concert series edition. The Mid-Prairie Speech and Drama students will be performing their pieces for the public. Nine Mid-Prairie Large Group Speech Groups competed Saturday, January 20th at Keota High School for the Iowa High School Speech Association’s District Large Group Speech Contest. All nine events performed by Mid-Prairie were evaluated by certified IHSSA judges, and earned Division 1 ratings. The entire team will be advancing to the IHSSA State Large Group Contest at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf on Saturday, February 3. This public performance at the Library is a way for the students to practice their pieces and entertain the audience.
