The Washington Demon and Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk Archery Clubs traveled to Mount Vernon Saturday for the Chuck Hallier Tournament. The Demon High Schoolers were third in 3D with a 1623, behind Springville’s winning 1654, and fifth in bullseye with a 3221, behind champion Solon’s 3339. In bullseye, Ethen Mesch was sixth in the boys standings with a 284 and 17 tens. Ethan Hotchkiss took 10th. For the girls, Madison Conway had the top score, 16th with a 271 and 11 tens. In 3D, top girls honors went to Avery Marner in fourth with a 273 and 12 tens. Johannah Halvorson was seventh. Blaine Hodson was ninth for the boys with a 275 and 11 tens.
The Middle School Demons were team bullseye runners-up with a 3180, behind the home Mustangs 3229. They also finished second in 3D with a 1561, behind Mount Vernon’s 1618. In 3D, Zach Hotchkiss won boys gold with a 278 and 17 tens. Other Demon top 10 boys included Jordan Thorius seventh and Shamus Johnson 10th. Bella Venenga was seventh for the Demons on the girls side with a 253 and seven tens. Charlee Read placed 10th. Zach Hotchkiss was fourth in boys bullseye with a 275 and 13 tens. Lillith Hernandez was eighth for the girls with a 265 and 10 tens.
For the Lincoln Demons, they were also second in both team contests. In bullseye it was a 2706, behind Mt. Vernon’s 2792, and in 3D a 1219, behind Springville’s 1291. Washington got an individual girls 3D championship from Addyson Neer with a 240 and 10 tens. Kenzie Vargas finished eighth. For the boys, Jack Charlier was fourth with a 218 and four tens. Logan Hotchkiss was seventh, Aden Glaspie ninth and Gabriel Frost 10th. In bullseye, Wyatt Dugger was best on the boys side winning the title with a 251 and five tens. Teammate Carter Higdon made it a Demon 1-2 punch taking second and Kooper Barnes was eighth. Addyson Neer was fourth for the girls with a 242 and five tens.
For the Mid-Prairie High School teams, they were fourth in 3D with a 1607 and sixth in bullseye with a 3163. Elijah Statler was fifth in boys bullseye with a 285 and 16 tens. Ava Miller was 22nd with a 269 and 10 tens. Allie Whetstine led the girls 3D crew with a 275 with 12 tens for third. Ava Miller was 10th. Johnathon Pickard led the boys in seventh with a 276 and 14 tens, Elijah Statler was 10th.
The Middle School Hawks were fifth in 3D with a 1523 and sixth in bull with a 3075. In 3D, Landon Allen finished fourth for the boys with a 273 and 12 tens. Fiona McClellen was sixth for the girls with a 256 and seven tens. In bullseye, Fiona McClellen was sixth with a 266 and seven tens. Nickolas Kelley was ninth for the boys with a 269 and 10 tens, Gavin Luers was 10th.
For the Elementary Hawks, Zander Copping was ninth for the boys with a 234 and three tens in bullseye and Adric McClellen led 3D in 20th with a 183.
