The Washington Demons came away with a pair of wins in wrestling duals last night in Marengo. The night started with Washington defeating HLV 42-24, led by sophomore Caden Greiner winning by fall at 138 pounds. Senior Chase Greiner did the same at 157, as did juniors Nate Edmonds and Braylon Hamilton at 113 and 190, respectively.

In a 48-24 victory over the Highland Huskies, junior Jude Carter got things started with a pin at 144 lbs, followed by one for Chase Greiner. Freshman Tyler Pierson would be a winner for Highland with a pin at 113 against Washington, but Demons junior Aaron Boone would wrap things up against the Huskies with a pin at 132.

Washington would end up taking a 30-30 tie against hosting Iowa Valley, starting with Caden Greiner winning a 9-6 decision. Senior Lane Schrock followed with a pin at 150, while Boone and Chase Greiner also each had a victory by fall. Freshman Greyson Hartman added a pin at 215 for the Demons, who are now off until they next wrestle Saturday at the WACO Warrior Invitational.
