The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved a Quit Claim Deed for real estate located in rural Washington County at their Tuesday meeting. Washington County Assessor Christy Tinnes, gives more information on the property, “That is some land that the county acquired by a scavenger deed back in the 80s, we have an adjoining land owner who is willing to take it. They’re the only adjoining owner, so it’s a piece of land that previously did not exist because the river changed course. Truly no known owner and they are wanting to take it on.”  The 1.28 acres were given to Robert and Carol Winkleback and is located in rural Washington County near Riverside
