The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys basketball team continues their busy schedule tonight. Their sixth game in eight days sees them travel to Fairfield Tuesday for a tilt with the Trojans. The Mid-Prairie boys are 10-8 after having their four game win streak snapped by Tipton at home Monday 68-54, despite 16 points from Dylan Henry and 13 from Bryce Henry. On the season, the Hawks score 63 points per game and give up 61, shooting 43% from the floor, 37% from three and 65% at the line with 30 rebounds, 15 assists, seven steals and 16 turnovers per game. Individually, five Hawks average double figures led by Bryce Henry’s 14 points. Brady Weber is best with six assists, five boards and two steals per game.

Fairfield is 1-17 this season, fresh off of a 70-50 loss to No. 10 in Class 2A West Burlington. On the season the Trojans score 46 points per game and give up 65, shooting 36% from the field, 25% from deep and 57% at the line with 24 rebounds, eight assists, five steals and 14 turnovers per game. Individual leaders include, Riley Perkins with 12 points and three assists per game to go with Luke Konczal’s six boards and two steals per night. The Hawks topped the Trojans last season in an overtime classic, 80-73 in Wellman. The teams have split their last 10 meetings. Varsity action starts tonight at 7:30 at Fairfield High School.
