Winning stretches continued for both Sigourney Savage basketball teams last night in Centerville. The Sigourney girls have ripped off a whopping 10-game win streak after defeating Centerville 49-28, improving to 16-4 after a victory again last night.

Meanwhile, the Savage boys won their ninth of the last 10 games by knocking off Centerville 74-53, outscoring the Big Reds 22-16 in each of the first two quarters to build a halftime lead, then using a 15-8 run to pull away in the final period and in turn raise their record to 13-6.

The Sigourney ladies also got a road win Saturday, cruising past Belle Plaine 57-26. The Savages built an 18-3 lead in the first quarter and expanded the advantage to 31 points by the half. The Sigourney boys were not as fortunate, falling 60-52 to the Plainsmen. Both Savage squads are back on the basketball court tonight to face their rivals from Keota.
