Homeowners in Washington, Johnson, and Iowa counties may be eligible for the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program from the East Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund and East Central Iowa Council of Governments.
The program offers grants in varying amounts of approximately $15,000 which are then used for housing rehabilitation. This may include interior or exterior improvements and repairs such as furnace, roofing, siding, window replacements, and electrical or plumbing upgrades.
Eligible participants must own their home, live in Washington, Iowa, or Johnson county, and be at or below 80% area median income for their family size. For more information, or to apply for the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program, visit ecicog.org/housing.
