The Keota Community School District announced last week that it is exploring the potential of a four-day school week, joining several others in the KCII listening area.

Just a few weeks ago, the Winfield-Mt. Union Community School District made the decision to implement a four-day week for the 2024-25 school year. They will join WACO, which has been on a similar schedule for the last decade. Columbus, Highland, and Lone Tree are other area districts still considering the option.

As the Keota CSD continues to gather feedback and data, two open forums will be held on Thursday, February 22 and Thursday, February 29. Each will be at 6 p.m. in the Keota High School Lounge. Additionally, a survey has been released for Keota stakeholders with today being the last day to complete it. To access the four-day school week survey, click here.
