The Washington Demons suffered a 57-37 defeat in boys’ basketball Friday night at conference rival Burlington. Washington had an early 9-6 lead but found itself on the wrong end of an impressive 24-2 run by Burlington from that point on. The Demons trailed by 19 at halftime and could never recover.

Sophomore Rajan Roth scored 11 points to lead the team, but Washington still loses its sixth straight to fall to 6-12 and finishes Southeast Conference play with a record of 4-6. The Demons will next take the court Tuesday at home against Mount Vernon.
