Nine local athletes qualified for the 2024 Iowa High School Athletic Association Traditional State Tournament at Wells Fargo Arena with their performances in district tournaments over the weekend. They include, for the Washington Demons, Aaron Boone, District Champion at Williamsburg. 

Columbus/WMU is sending four athletes. Ty Scorpil was the District Champion at Solon, with Jacob Nelson, Kason Dopler, and Russel Coil all qualifying as District Runners-up at Solon.

WACO is sending two competitors with Louden Huisenga, District Champion at Wilton, and Gage Samo District Runner-up.

Highland has Luke Guseman, the District Champion at Wilton.

Lone Tree will send  Brock Nebergall, District Runner-up at Pleasantville.
